Also known as the Stanley Mallinson. Mr Mallinson was born in 1884. The competition was first played for in 1931 and for the first few years miniature frigates were presented to the winners. Mr Mallinson donated the trophy to be played for by both members and non-members and for many years was a one-day 36 hole competition attracting players (by invitation) from local clubs. In more recent years the format has been changed to an 18 hole competition.

Max playing Handicap for members is 20. There are invited guests with a max playing handicap of 14.
This is a net competition with prizes for both the best net and best gross scores.
Tee Times will be allocated
Members must have an active handicap index.
As this is an Invitational competition members are not required to have played in 5 qualifying games in the previous 12 months to enter.
Guests must have an active handicap index.
Cost: Members £5 payable by BACS prior to teeing off.
Competition is Acceptable for handicapping.
